Virginia is an experienced advocate, counselor and litigator focused on all aspects of workplace law. She regularly represents employers in litigation and appeals involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave law violations, wage and hour violations, breach of contract and related torts. Virginia also counsels employers on human resources legal matters, including, for example, internal investigations of employee complaints or misconduct, wage and hour compliance, and disability and leave management. She also assists employers with the preparation and implementation of employee handbooks and policies and employment contracts. In addition, Virginia has experience representing companies and individuals in complex commercial litigation and government investigations. Virginia previously worked as an associate with Baker Botts LLP and as of counsel with Jackson Lewis PC, and she completed a clerkship with the Honorable Carolyn Dineen King of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Virginia graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
