C. Keith Lea

Principal

Keith Lea represents executives, business owners, and companies in high-stakes employment matters, combining significant first-chair jury trial experience with a practical, business-focused approach. His practice spans federal and state courts, arbitration, and administrative proceedings, where he often handles complex disputes involving restrictive covenants, trade secrets, fiduciary duties, executive compensation, partnership and shareholder issues, whistleblower claims, discrimination, and breach of contract.

In addition to his litigation practice, Keith advises senior executives and companies in matters involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, sensitive departures, and compensation disputes. He also advises on executive compensation arrangements and employment transactions, including the negotiation of employment agreements, separation terms, and compensation packages in connection with hiring, departures, and business transitions. He understands both the legal and strategic considerations that arise in these matters and works closely with clients to protect their interests while navigating risk.

Keith also serves as a trusted advisor to employers on a broad range of workplace issues. He counsels clients on compliance, internal complaints and investigations, employee relations, and matters involving FMLA and ADA accommodations, helping organizations implement practical solutions that align with legal requirements and business objectives.

Before joining Stuart PC, Keith was a shareholder at a civil litigation firm and previously practiced at a Houston-based litigation boutique, where he developed his trial, transactional, and strategic advisory experience.

Keith earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston.
